Unicorn pins

Tanto tempo che non scrivo, nel frattempo mi sono trasferita da Napoli in Olanda con il mio fidanzato e la mia gatta e ho cominciato ad imparare grafica. Fra i vari disegni realizzati, quello a cui sono più affezionata è questo unicorno ispirato ai minipony di quando ero piccola, anni '90! 

So long as I do not write, in the meantime I moved from Naples to Holland with my boyfriend and my cat and started to learn graphics. Among the various designs made, the one I'm most fond of is this unicorn inspired by the minipones of when I was little, 90's!

Ho prima disegnato una bozza a matita su carta e poi con molta pazienza l'ho trasferito digitalmente. 

I first draw a draft on paper and then with great patience I transferred it digitally.

Mi sono convinta a far realizzare delle spille in metallo, che all'estero sono molto di moda, purtroppo la maggior parte era danneggiata... inizialmente mi sono avvilita, era la prima in assoluto che mandavo in produzione e ci sono rimasta malissimo. Subito dopo ho pensato di metterci le mani, con un solvente per vernici ho tolto tutto il colore e con delle vernici acriliche che avevo in casa per altri lavoretti ho ridipinto gli unicorni. 

I was convinced of making metal pins, which abroad are very fashionable, unfortunately most of it was damaged ... initially I was disappointed, it was the first time I sent to production something and I was very sorry. Soon after, I thought to put my hands on it, with a solvent for paints I removed all the color and with acrylic paints I had in my house for other works I repainted the unicorns.

Per fissare i colori ho usato una vernice spray e un ulteriore strato di vernice lucida brillante che dà un effetto sparkling alle spille. Purtroppo o per fortuna essere una creativa significa anche questo, riparare a certe situazioni inventandosi una soluzione che possa evitare di aver buttato i soldi investiti in un piccolo progetto! To fix the colors I used a spray paint and a glossy shiny layer of glittering paint giving a sparkling effect on the pins. Unfortunately or fortunately to be creative also means this, to repair some situations by inventing a solution that can avoid knocking the money invested into a small project!
